Terms of Service
Revision of 1 May 2026 · Governs the relationship between the merchant and Balanced Payments FZCO regarding the use of the payment platform.
1.Subject matter
Balanced Payments FZCO provides the merchant with access to the payment gateway, REST API, dashboard and tools for accepting online payments, payouts and refunds. The list of available features is described in the public documentation on the website.
2.Registration and identification
A test key is issued immediately after registration. Access to live mode is granted after completing the KYC/KYB procedure — verification of the merchant and its beneficiaries. The list of documents and the procedure are described in the AML / KYC policy.
3.Pricing and settlements
Fees are fixed in an individual agreement with the merchant. Settlements are made in the currency specified in the agreement. Payout terms are T+1 or T+2 depending on the method and tariff.
4.Merchant obligations
- Use the API in accordance with the public documentation and do not take actions to circumvent security controls.
- Do not share API keys with third parties and keep them protected.
- Comply with consumer-protection law: refund funds on justified claims, issue receipts, etc.
- Promptly notify us of any suspected key compromise or data breach.
5.Restrictions
Payments in categories subject to sanctions lists and international restrictions are prohibited. The list of prohibited activities is published as a separate document and is updated periodically.
6.Liability
Balanced Payments is not liable for the merchant’s losses to the extent exceeding the amount of payments over the last 3 months, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Neither party is liable for force majeure (failure of third-party network infrastructure, revocation of acquiring bank licences, legislative restrictions).
7.Changes to the agreement
Material changes are published on the website 30 days before they take effect. Notice is sent to the e-mail specified in the dashboard. Disagreement with the new revision is grounds to terminate the agreement without penalties.
8.Dispute resolution
Applicable law is the law of the UAE (the country of the company’s registration). Jurisdiction is the courts of Dubai. The parties make efforts to resolve disputes pre-trial through a claims procedure with a response within 30 days.
